Haifeng Ye

Dr. Haifeng Ye received his Ph.D degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) in 2012 and completed his Postdoctoral Research in the group of Prof. Dr. Martin Fussenegger at ETH Zurich from 2012.08-2013.12. Dr. Ye has been awarded the “ETH Silver Medal” at ETH Zurich in 2013. His research work was published in top scientific journals: Science, Nature Biomedical Engineering, PNAS, Molecular Thearapy，Nucleic Acids Res, etc. His research was highlighted by a series of top scientific journals: Cell, Nature Medicine, Nature Chemical Biology. Since 2014.03 Haifeng Ye was appointed as a full professor of synthetic biology in School of Life Sciences, East China Normal University. His research interest has been focused on mammalian cell engineering and biotechnology, with the goal to design and construct synthetic gene circuits/networks/systems for therapeutic purpose. His major research area includes: the design and construction of biological parts, motifs, biomolecular sensor device, novel trigger-inducible transgene expression devices in mammalin cells for gene- and cell-based therapy.
