Hidetaka Nishimura

Hidetaka Nishimura is currently in charge of promotion of bio-industry including pharmaceuticals, regenerative medicine and other bio-tech industries as Director for Bio-industry Division, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan.

He began his career with the Government of Japan in 1993 and has over 20 years of policy making experience in various fields such as small and medium enterprise policy, industrial policy, security export control policy, industrial technology policy and energy policy. His earlier appointments include Director for Fine Chemicals Office, Economic Counselor of Embassy of Japan in Canada and Executive Advisor to State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
